“We pride ourselves on our design effort that combines form and function to create the most versatile buggies, while maintaining iconic styling that sets us apart,” said Phil Brace, Lead Designer, at phil&teds. “While our buggies have evolved over time, we remain focused on the detail in order to deliver high performance, quality products that put safety first. It’s a thrill for me and the team to be internationally recognised in this way, and humbling to be acknowledged alongside winners like Ferrari, Apple and Dyson.”

All three buggies offer something uniquely different for parents around the globe. The winning phil&teds’ verve delivers the ultimate in inline stroller performance and adaptability for one or two children. The compact and innovative award winning Mountain Buggy nano is the perfect travel companion promising convenience, longevity and ease of use. Finally, the Mountain Buggy luxury collection is the epitome of premium quality, world-class engineering, craftsmanship and fashion tailoring.

The winners of this year’s Red Dot Awards were recognized in Essen, Germany at the Red Dot Gala on 29 June 2015.

“We’re just a small company based in New Zealand and our Design Team is thrilled to accept these three prestigious Red Dot Product Design Awards for our strollers,” said Campbell Gower, CEO, otherwise known as Chief Cook & Washer, at Phil and Teds. “This accolade confirms our position as design innovators and is a fantastic addition to the international awards from consumer and industry the team has already received.”

These award-winning products will be included in the museum’s permanent exhibition. Prior to that, they will be in the Red Dot Museum in the special exhibition “Design on Stage”.

Professor Dr Peter Zec, Founder and CEO of the Red Dot Award, says, “For 60 years, the most-respected design experts have been convening every year in Essen to seek out the best designs. This year we had a record number of almost 5,000 entries – a huge amount of work for our jury members, who assessed each individual product, and a special value of the distinction due to the high standard. The laureates of the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2015 have demonstrated exceptionally high achievements and have thus been deservedly successful in the world’s largest design competition.”
