Not Just a Label

What do you think of when you hear the term “Designer Label”? One of the first things that probably comes to your mind is that it describes luxury goods marked by an icon of a selected designer, varying in all kinds – shoes, clothes, furnishings, cosmetics, you name it.
Is that all that it is, though? Does it end there?
We think not, as there is much more beneath the surface of what might seem to be a simple term.

One of our favorites and most respected brands in the world.

Labeling goes all the way back to the times when our ancestors were marking their various craftsmanships, especially the exceptionally well done ones, with what you would nowadays call a label – a mark of dedication and skill. And while times has changed, the idea remains vastly the same.
What we see in a label is more than just an expensive luxurious product, however. And while some tend to be pricy, we believe that there is more to it than just that. Not to mention, more and more prominent labels are lowering their prices and expanding their horizons to become more accessible not just for the wealthiest, and it doesn’t have to mean lower quality. In fact, it means exactly the opposite.
Just like back in the day, nowadays you want to see a label and know that you are buying a solid product, and not just because of the fancy name and the price tag, but because you know that the label won’t fail your expectations. You are getting your moneys worth, you become attached to the product, and the respect between you and the label starts to become more mutual than you think. This is how good businesses and labels flourish and stay relevant.
Trends will always come and go, but the label remains with us standing by it – because it took the effort to reach out to us in one way or another.
That is why a label is more than just a mark of craftsmanship – it is something that we want to be a part of as it grows, something that we can identify ourselves with and belong to.
